Understand the difference between Panty Protectors and Korui Absorbents
Panty protectors do not have an impermeable layer and are indicated for non-menstrual days of excess vaginal secretion.
Absorbents have a waterproof layer and are indicated for days of menstrual flow.
Understand the difference between Korui Absorbent models
Panty protectors: measure about 17 cm, are 100% healthy and breathable, and ideal for use in non-menstrual periods of excess vaginal secretions or during pregnancy. All layers are pure cotton. They have 100% cotton outer layer, filling with 1 absorbent layer and inner layer in the Natural Comfort line (understand the difference between the lines below).
Mini Absorbents: measure about 17 cm and are ideal for light flows and to use as extra protection when using the menstrual cup. They have an outer layer in polyamide, hidden layer in PUL (impermeable and breathable fabric), filling with 2 super absorbent layers and an inner layer in the Conforto Seco or Comfort Natural lines (understand the difference between the lines below).
Normal Absorbents: measure about 22 cm and are ideal for moderate to intense flows, and light incontinence. They have an outer layer in polyamide, hidden layer in PUL (impermeable and breathable fabric), filling with 3 super absorbent layers and an inner layer in the Conforto Seco or Comfort Natural lines (understand the difference between the lines below).
Nocturnal Absorbents: measure about 26 cm, have a slightly wider back and are ideal for intense flows and moderate incontinence. They have an outer layer in polyamide, hidden layer in PUL (impermeable and breathable fabric), filling with 3 super absorbent layers and an inner layer in the Conforto Seco or Comfort Natural lines (understand the difference between the lines below).
Super Absorbents: measure about 30 cm, have a slightly wider back and are ideal for very intense flows, moderate incontinence and use in the postpartum period. They have an outer layer in polyamide, hidden layer in PUL (impermeable and breathable fabric), filling with 3 super absorbent layers and an inner layer in the Conforto Seco or Comfort Natural lines (understand the difference between the lines below).
Dry Comfort
The Dry Comfort line of absorbents has an inner layer in a smart fabric that has an incredibly soft touch, is super easy to wash and the most wonderful thing: it keeps the skin gently dry! The dry feeling provided by the absorbents in this line is very soft and comfortable, quite different from disposable absorbents. This fabric has a burgundy color. Composition: 100% polyester
Using your Korui Protector and Absorbent with tabs
1- Button on the panties
Just wrap the panties with the tabs of the protector and button! The colored part with the label faces your panties and the white inner part faces your body. We recommend wearing tight panties to keep the protectors in place more easily. Since they don’t have stickers, you can easily adjust the position without having to stick and peel off!
2- Change as needed
The time between exchanges is unique for each person. The use of Korui protectors and absorbents is very similar to the use of disposables. In general, you should start the day with a clean pad and change as needed. The ideal moment that the exchange should take place is, in part, experience. Over time you will discover better what works for your body!
In the first cycles in which you use the cloth alternatives, it is ideal to do a closer monitoring until you understand how the pads behave with your menstrual flow, in order to avoid possible leaks.
We recommend that the change be done within 6:00 am, but if your pad is wetter and heavier before then, it’s time to change! 🙂
3- Store in waterproof bag
Keep your used guard in a clean place until it can be washed. We recommend Korui waterproof bags as they keep the protector moist, which makes washing easier.
Washing your Korui Protector and Absorbent
1. Remove excess or soak
The truth is, you can wash your tampon any way you like, just as you would wash any piece of clothing. What we recommend is to soak for at least 30 minutes in cold water before washing or putting in the machine. You can leave it for longer if you prefer, but remember to change the water every 12 hours, so you will always have a clean and odor-free sauce!
2. Machine wash or hand wash
You can wash your pads and pads in the machine with your clothes or by hand (during the bath, how about that?). You can use mild soap or Sanitizer for menstrual accessories, all made with vegan ingredients, super safe for your body and zero impact for the planet, avoid additives. Washing alone is enough to disinfect the cloth protectors, but if you wish you can drop tea tree oil, eucalyptus or any other light disinfectant into the wash water.
3. Avoid the dryer
Dry it on the shadow or under the sun for a longer life of your pads.
Why Korui?
1. Because every 10 menstrual cups sold to Korui donates 1!
Have you ever imagined your life without personal hygiene products? Many communities in Brazil and around the world still have difficulties in accessing these products, compromising a significant part of their monthly income or having to choose unsafe methods such as old cloths, newspapers and even bread crumbs! Did you know that for every 10 Korui collectors sold, 1 is donated to communities in need? The menstrual collector makes life easier for people of childbearing age. For many years they won’t have to worry about menstruation. This not only creates health, but confidence and dignity. 2. Because at Korui everything makes sense!
Companies are great agents of change and need to assume their responsibilities to the world, just so we can begin to build a different future. That’s why at Korui everything always needs to make sense. Korui works with conscientious suppliers and quality inputs, always opts for sustainable packaging, values the labor of everyone involved with the brand, finances the incredible Dona do Meu Fluxo Project, among other actions! By buying something from a brand you finance its existence. So how about choosing brands that put impact first?
